Botanical Properties
Elemi is a tree in the Burseraceae family, native to the Philippines where it grows spontaneously.
They are large evergreen trees, 20 to 40m tall, with alternate leaves.
At the time of budding, as from January, the trunk is pierced and it exudes a white gum which is then distilled to obtain purified gum
Origin and history
From the 7th century in China, there are reports of elemi being used for religious rites and for burning, so it is "Chinese incense".
In the 16th century, Magellan introduced it in Europe and the Middle East for its fragrant and medicinal properties

Indications
Elemi essential oil favours the healing of wounds, ulcers, sores.
It is recommended for back pain, in massage
It also acts against anxiety and difficulties in concentrating
Instructions
Consult a doctor before taking any treatment or therapy orally.
Internal use of Elemi Organic essential oil is not recommended
On the skin, several drops diluted in vegetable oil for massage of the area to be treated (the back for pain, the stomach for dyspepsia)
For anxiety, 1 drop on the wrists for inhalation
