Botanical Properties
Bog Labrador tea is a flowering shrub from the Ericaceae family.
It can grow from just a few centimetres to 1.5m. Nicknamed 'bog Labrador tea', the upper side of its foliage is shiny green with a densely hairy underside.
Origin and history
Bog Labrador tea grows across most of North America, from Greenland to Alaska. Served as a tea by Eskimos, it is also used for seasoning marinades to add flavour to meat. The Alaskan Athabaskans, ancestors of American Indians, used it to treat digestive disorders and heartburn and to detoxify the body.

Indications
Bog Labrador tea essential oil is known for its ability to cleanse the body of liver toxicity, liver failure and disorders and thyroid imbalances. By virtue of its extremely calming properties, it is an effective treatment for stress, insomnia, anxiety attacks and nervousness.

Please consult a doctor before taking any treatment or therapy orally.
Oral administration: 2 drops of organic bog Labrador tea essential oil, twice a day, with a little honey and syrup, or on a lozenge during periods of stress.
On the skin: Mix 1ml of bog Labrador tea essential oil + 30ml sweet almond oil and apply to the solar plexus in the morning or evening to prevent insomnia.
By diffusion: When diffused in the atmosphere, it relieves stress and helps resolve sleeping disorders.
Precautions
Flammable. Oral use only under medical advice. Keep out of reach of children. Unadvisable for children under the age of three, pregnant or lactating women. Do not apply to the skin before exposing oneself to the sun. Can be used in cooking. Do not apply neat to the skin.
