Botanical Properties
Cardmom is a herbaceous plant with rhizomes, and belongs to the Zingiberaceae family. Its fruit, a green capsule containing aromatic seeds, is used as a spice. This plant grows best in hot and humid climates, and is found at altitudes between 900 and 1500 m.
Origin and history
Originating in India, cardamom has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine against digestive problems. Furthermore, it is an indispensable ingredient within Indian and Asian cuisine. Seen by many as a plant with magical properties, cardamom used to be offered to the gods for religious purification and communication.

Indications
We recommend our organic cardamom essential oils against digestive system problems, such as aerophagia, colitis, and spasms. By topical friction when mixed with a vegetable oil, it helps to reduce nausea, bloating, stomach aches, and diarrhoea. This essential oil will have a positive impact on the otorhinolaryngological system, and does so by reducing inflammation in the respiratory tract, all whilst fighting bronchitis and asthma.

Oral administration:
Take 2 drops of cardamom essential oil, twice a day. Mix with a little honey or a lozenge placed under the tongue. Take as such with a meal to counter digestive problems.
On the skin:
Mix 10 drops of organic cardamom essential oil with 30 drops of organic borage oil, and rub on any fungal infections.
By diffusion:
This oil will cleanse the air within a room when diffused, all thanks to its powerful antibacterial properties.

Organic cardamom essential oil is linked to the Manipura chakra, located at the celiac plexus, which is associated with the colour yellow.
Applying cardamom essential oil to the celiac plexus releases pent-up emotion, and enables a heightened perception of the feelings of your close ones. Furthermore, it stimulates and reinvigorates the organism.
