Botanical Properties
This annual herbaceous plant belongs to the Apicaecae family. Its stalks can reach 1m in height and its extremities form umbrella spokes carrying little white flowers. Its oblong fruits (seeds) are greeny grey and are harvested in September. Green anise grows in light and sun drenched soils.
Origin and history
Originating in the Mediterranean Basin and North Africa, green anise is mostly cultivated as a condiment. Its seeds and leaves have a anise flavour and aroma, making it a great compliment to salads, barbecues, fish, pastries, and numerous liqueurs. Due to its digestive and carminative properties, it makes the perfect infusion after a heavy meal.

Indications
Green anise essential oil is recommended against all problems linked to digestion: anorexia, slow digestion, gassiness, nausea, colitis, vomiting, aerophagia, etc. It is also an ideal product to help stimulate milk production in young mothers. Its influence on the female endocrine system helps to regulate the menstrual cycle and provide balance during the menopause.

Please consult your doctor before taking any treatment or therapy orally.
Oral administration:
1 drop of green anise essential oil twice a day, with a little honey or on a lozenge under the tongue. Take with a meal in the case of indigestion.
On the skin:
Mix 10 drops of organic green anise essential oil with 30 drops of the organic hypericum vegetable oil, massage into the stomach in the case of colic.
