Botanical Properties
The lemon eucalyptus tree is a great tree that can measure up to 40m in height. It generally has spear shaped leaves, but can vary widely depending on what stage in its life the plant is currently in. It also has white flowers and bark with a light pink hue. It belongs to the Myrtaceae family.
Origin and history
The lemon eucalyptus Eucalyptus citriodora originated in Australia and Madagascar. The aborigines have known and utilised its powerful antibacterial properties for many generations. It has been used in subtropical swampy areas too, to dry them up as it has a powerful capacity for absorption

Properties
Lemon eucalyptus, eucalyptus citriodora, should not be confused with the other eucalyptuses: globulus or radiata. Organic lemon eucalyptus essential oil is made up of 90% monoterpenic aldehydes, like citronellal, whose properties are:

Indications
We recommend the use of organic lemon eucalyptus essential oil in the case of urogenital inflammation or cystitis. We also advise its utilisation against all little aches and pains, sprains, cramps, backache, and rheumatisms. Lemon eucalyptus repels mosquitoes and soothes their bites. In terms of the psyche, it revives and energises one’s spirit.

Oral administration:
Take 2 drops of organic lemon eucalyptus essential oil, 3 times a day with a little honey, some syrup, or a lozenge, to fight cystitis.
On the skin:
Mix 4 drops of organic lemon eucalyptus essential oil with drops of organic sweet almond oil, and use to massage areas of the body suffering from rheumatisms.
By diffusion:
Organic lemon eucalyptus essential oil will combat fatigue by boosting the organism’s activity if diffused into the atmosphere.
