Botanical Properties
Niaouli is a great tree that can measure up to 20m in height and belongs to the Myrtaceae family. Otherwise known as the paperbark tea tree, it is an evergreen with scented leaves, and has a thick, white bark that it sheds easily in large strips (hence its name paper bark).
Origin and history
This tree, which originated in Australia and New Caledonia, has long been used by the Kanak tribe as a traditional panacea (cure-all). Nowadays niaouli is primordially cultivated in Madagascar for its essential oil.

Indications
Organic niaouli essential oil is considered a panacea. In aromatherapy it is used to counter numerous pathologies, and is well tolerated by the organism. Its softness ensures that it can be universally used. It is one of the essential products to always have in your medicine kit. The pathologies for which it tends to be prescribed are: viral and bacterial respiratory infection (bronchitis, colds, etc.), infectious digestive problems, gastroenteritis, and gynaecological infections. As a non-aggressive essential oil, it is highly recommended as a treatment for all dermatological problems (eczema, psoriasis, acne, zoster herpes, etc.). It is used to help in the wound healing process, and is even used to aid the organism to fight tuberculosis, as it can eliminate Koch bacilli. It is prescribed as a powerful antiseptic that can be employed to treat persistent infections, such as herpes.

Oral administration:
Take 3 drops of organic niaouli essential oil 3 times a day. Mix with some honey or syrup, or on a lozenge to help fight respiratory infection.
On the skin:
Mix 2 drops of niaouli essential oil and 3 drops of organic musk rose oil, to help combat eczema and a multitude of other dermatological problems.
By diffusion:
Niaouli essential oil, when diffused into one’s living spaces, sanitises the air in those rooms and fights respiratory and otorhinolaryngological problems.

In energy aromatherapy niaouli is linked to two chakras: one located at the thymus, and one located in the heart, which is known as Anahata. It is associated with the colour turquoise.
Niaouli essential oil can help to reduce feelings of anger, and negative energies. By diffusing this essential oil one can promote one’s concentration and bind the body to different energies. In order to reinforce the energetic system of the user, mix 10 drops of organic niaouli essential oil, 10 drops of nard oil, and 50 drops of macadamia oil.
Use this blend to massage the Anahata chakra area in gestures that move upwards toward the thymus gland area.
