Botanical Properties
Peppermint is a hardy, aromatic plant from the Lamiaceae family, and is the hybrid of Water mint and Spearmint.
Its small lilac flowers gather like spearheads and its stalks are quadrangular.
When rubbed, its oval-shaped, indented leaves release a fresh, minty scent.
Origin and history
Peppermints incredible digestive properties have been known since Ancient times by the Greeks and Egyptians; dried peppermint leaves were found inside the Pyramids.
Cultivated in Europe, Asia and North Africa for its essential oil, its fresh leaves are widely used for cooking, cocktails and, of course, peppermint tea.

Indications
Peppermint essential oil is the obvious solution for pain!
It is a great emergency medicine for use at home or when travelling. It works well against indigestion, nausea, vomiting, flatulence and gastrointestinal spasms.
It also helps with rheumatism, tendinitis, sciatica, sports injuries, winter colds, bronchitis, fevers, migraines and headaches.

PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL SHOULD NOT BE USED BY CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF THREE OR PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING WOMEN.
Oral administration: 2 drops of organic peppermint essential oil, three times a day, with a little honey and syrup, or on a lozenge for digestive disorders.
On the skin: Apply 1 drop of organic peppermint essential oil to the skin to treat sciatica.
By diffusion: When diffused in the atmosphere, peppermint essential oil purifies and refreshes the air.
