Botanical Properties

The Siberian Pine or Siberian Fir is a tree of the Pinaceae or conifer family.
It is an evergreen tree that can grow to up to 60m and is the most widespread species in Russia.
It can withstand cold down to -50° and can grow at altitudes of around 2000m in humid soils
It has hanging branches and the upright cones open at maturity without falling to the ground.

Origin and history

The wood of the Siberian Fir is used as timber and in carpentry and boat building.
Siberian Pine essential oil has a characteristic smell reminiscent of Christmas trees and sweets.
