Botanical Properties
Sylvester pine is a conifer whose foliage consists of evergreen needles. It can reach up to 35m in height, and belongs in Pinaceae family. This species of pine enjoys soils made of sand and clay, and can live for over 500 years. Pines possess ovaloid shaped cones, and both male and female reproductive organs are found on the same individual. This species is easily recognisable by its red coloured bark.
Origin and history
Originating in Scandinavia and Russia, the Sylvester pine has been known for its medicinal properties since the middle ages. Its wood is currently used in carpentry and furniture building. Pine essential oil is extracted from its buds or resin.

Indications
Our organic sylvester pine essential oil is an indispensable product for winter. It will combat bronchitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, allergic rhinitis, and muscle pain. It will help strengthen one’s psyche and will help one get back or stay on one’s feet in periods of great fatigue. Ideally this essential oil will be inhaled: used as such it will help to decongest the otorhinolaryngological system. We recommend mixing it with other winter essential oils, in order to benefit from a complete, effective, and well-rounded therapy.

Oral administration:
Take 2 drops of organic essential oil 2 times a day. Mix with some honey or syrup, or on a lozenge to help fight bronchitis and other respiratory problems.
On the skin:
Mix 2 drops of Sylvester pine essential oil with 4 drops of sesame oil, and use this to massage the torso to clear the airways.
By diffusion:
By diffusing Sylvester pine essential oil, you will sanitise your living spaces, fight mental fatigue, and benefit from its properties as a respiratory antiseptic.
