Botanical Properties
Jasmine, whose scientific name is Jasminum grandiflorum, belongs to the Oleaceae family. This shrub, which can sometimes reach up to 4m in height, has a deciduous foliage which is dark green in colour, whilst its world renowned flowers are clustered in cymes.
This plant, which is exceptionally popular in fragrances and as an ornamental plant, thrives best in light and airy soils, but has adapted to many different countries.
Origin and history
First originating in the Himalayas, this plant has been cultivated for thousands of years for its legendary scent and dainty white flowers. Baptised as the “Queen of flowers”, jasmine absolute and its enchanting essence is now widespread across the most successful and famous perfumeries of the world.

Indications
Absolute jasmine essential oil is used in many blends to make highly precious and esteemed perfumes. It is also very useful in the treatment of dry and irritated skin. Its fragrance will soothe and calm tension, whilst fighting both depression and anxiety. Jasmine is considered as having aphrodisiac properties due to its sensual and enchanting scent.

Oral administration:
Take 1 drop of jasmine essential oil, twice a day, with a little honey or on a lozenge to be placed under the tongue. Use as such during stressful periods of time.
On the skin:
Mix 2 drops of jasmine essential oil with 35ml of organic sesame oil, and use as part of a daily massage to profit from its harmonising and stress-relieving properties.
